It feels like I've been doing swimwear for the longest damn time - from the day we got our brief til marking day (yesterday!!).. what was my life even

Well enough of that - let's get stuck into it!

Brief: To create a piece of 4 or 5 swimsuits with a minimum of 2 cover ups - inspired by one or a mixture of a few Cirque Du Soleil shows. 

We chose Varekai - which focuses mainly of organic forms, quite creaturesque and slick. We have incorporated knitted structures and a combination of broken/tweaked images of fish x-rays, organisms, bacteria and algae, along with what we call "skins" hand printed with tattoos and embellished. Prints have been developed by yours truly (a total of three) and were printed for us (sponsored by ThinkPositive).

So I guess now I'm presenting to you the finished designs - "Atlantis Royalty"

Preparation

I completely forgot to take a picture of the finished makeup.. Anyway we used cream shadows to create a mermaid gradient of colour around the temples and cheeks of the face, and then we used a net to create a resist with gold shadow, which left a nice soft texture. 

Web hair! I wish I could do this for myself - too bad it's short wahh...

It was a super long day...............and it's been the longest term. I'm so glad it's over - now it's time for the next brief: tailoring!

Seriously though a thousand eons of sorry's would probably not cut it but I've had a pretty rough patch in terms of college the past few months... 2 much fashun 2 handle sozzzz

So I've decided to do a little housekeeping and start afresh - I didn't really want to post until my swimwear marking day was over so I could finally deliver a blog post that wasn't full of iphone pics and me talking about how stressed I am (I know you're used to that.. again, a thousand sorry's.........)

Slit too high and a shirt too big - I'm like a male slut with good taste

BUT WAIT! there's more.....

Picked up myself a men's adidas tee and some bike shorts .. in black of course 

And surprisingly have been wearing them both non stop!

So I picked these three bars up to try for myself. The Raw Revolution bar was recommended while the RAW food bar was my pick!

RAW REVOLUTION - SPIRULINA DREAM

Okay so from the moment you open the packet you are greeted by the face of a green monster - and although I am a lover of green foods, spirulina doesn't happen to fit into that category........Maybe if I closed my eyes while eating it, I'd probably enjoy it a bit more, but lets be honest, just...no.

The bar itself is soft, sticky and is mainly date and nut tasting.. also a negative for me - I hate mushy tasting things....

RAW FOOD BAR - APPLE CINNAMON

Similar texture to the raw revolution bar but a lot nicer and honestly a little bit like baby food solidified - not bad. Good option for a raw food bar and a way better alternative to other crappy sugar filled bars.

Didn't try the chocolate crave bar yet so I will get back to you guys..

(Earth to table - Bondi)

Brunch at Earth to Table was great - just a few minutes from the Bondi Junction Interchange, this little local gem is all natural, raw vegan, sugar free, gluten free, dairy free and organic!

Started my internship at BATM so I sat in at the show. Didn't really bother getting shots of the actual garments (haha woops..) but pretty cool video intro. Apparently inspired by Australian landscape.
